Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC) is a national, not-for-profit organization supporting Canada’s electricity and renewable energy sector through research, labour market intelligence, program delivery and workforce development initiatives. EHRC works closely with industry, government, educators and labour partners to ensure the sector has the skilled, diverse and inclusive workforce it requires.
At a pivotal moment for the sector, EHRC is seeking a Director, Special Projects to lead the advancement of Canada’s workforce strategy for the electricity sector during a period of significant industry growth and transformation.
Reporting to the CEO, the Director, Special Projects serves as the strategic leader responsible for advancing EHRC’s Special Projects through stakeholder engagement, partnership development, workforce initiatives and industry collaboration that support the sector’s evolving workforce needs.
Working across a broad network of employers, labour organizations, educators, Indigenous partners, governments and industry stakeholders, the Director, Special Projects will build and strengthen relationships, foster collaboration and advance initiatives that address workforce challenges and create long-term sector impact.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and influential leader with strong stakeholder engagement, partnership development, workforce strategy and program leadership experience, ideally gained within workforce development, economic development, public policy, energy, infrastructure, not-for-profit or similarly complex stakeholder environments. Experience within the electricity, energy, infrastructure, workforce development or related sectors will be considered a strong asset.
