so i want to say hello and welcome to

to introduce mike newell who’s the
business development executive at jam
for those of you who don’t know jam jam

time uh today my name as i mentioned is
mike newell i am the business uh
development executive at jam uh marie
really summed up a lot of what we do in
her opening statement so i won’t retread
over that uh much more i will share my
screen quickly but essentially what we
do at jam is we work with organizations

through play um if you take anything
away from uh sort of my chat today that
is the main thing we do that through uh
various ways so obviously online virtual
games
is one of the ways that we do that
another way that we connect is through
in-person events as well so uh whether
that is a trivia which we’re actually
going to be playing today or
through a survey says game a cooking
class
uh a painting session or a city uh
amazing race that we can set up in your
in your town or near your office um
we’re happy to find ways to help you as
an hr group that is really uh
responsible for uh client experience try
to elevate that and be an extra tool in
your uh culture building toolkit
um so i’m gonna share my screen really
quickly just a very high level
understanding again of just who we are
and what we do here so uh first of all
uh can i get a quick note just can
everybody see my

austin um okay so like i said we connect
people through play um here at jam
um

play helps to strengthen team bonds uh
enhance creativity in the office uh and
really the thing that i’d like to point
to um in this sort of little bullet
point here is just it helps increase
engagement amongst your staff um both
from a
outside of work perspective but also as
you work together there’s a lot of times
where you know we do get siloed in our
departments um and this is a great way
to bring people together uh in a fun way
and kind of do some team building
without beating your beating you over
the head and saying it’s team building
um so it’s something that we really
pride ourselves on in terms of bringing
that sort of play element uh to your
staff
um we also just like to show how
investing in culture
helps uh in terms of turnover these are
figures in in quality of data and
quantitative data that we’re now
starting to gather from um our clients
now that we have been doing virtual
events for over two years now
and now we’re starting to get also
additional data from in-person events as
well um so if you would like to get some

take you to a holding screen okay all
you need to do is just enter your name
uh and click next it will take you to a
game about to start uh a screen
so i’ll give you everybody a moment to
do that while i just continue to get uh
sort of final setups done on my end
okay perfect uh if you are having any
difficulties in getting into the trivia
platform uh feel free to unmute yourself

chat as well and um i’ll be happy to
help you sort that out but essentially
all you need to do is click that link
and that should take you into the trivia
platform i’ll give everybody another
moment uh if everybody can just sort of
give me a quick just submit yourself
really quickly if you are at that
holding screen just let me know um and i
can move on to the next step
there i just wanted to mention mike that
this is not an easy game
i try i i mix the questions up uh so
there’s going to be it’s it this is
really a kitchen sink version of our
trivia uh just to give you a flavor what
types of questions that we can put
together for you in a trivia game um
right now it looks like we have
10 people on uh the game uh
so i think i’ll get started if there’s
anybody that wants to jump in or is
having any issues just meet yourself let
me know uh and i’ll give you a hand as
best i can okay
the way our trivia works is we will uh
read out each question um so there’s ten
questions in this particular game uh it
is timer based so you will get uh around
15 or 20 seconds to answer each question
okay
um and then in terms of the uh
in terms of answering the quicker you
answer uh the question the more points
you get for a correct answer okay so it
is a little bit time-based uh so we do
put a little challenge in there for you
um and let’s see how we do in terms of
trivia don’t worry you’re gonna have to
maybe guess uh some of these and that’s
completely fine uh i always say when in
doubt just click c and see what happens
okay
so this is multiple choice all you’ll
need to do is just click the correct or
the answer you think is correct uh in
order to uh to move on and i will
control the rest okay
uh so any questions before we get

okay we’re getting answers in it’s a
nice scatter of uh different answers uh
but the correct answer in this case is

pretty soon um which i didn’t think they

people in the room getting that correct
uh we’ll move on to question two
which of these words is used as a term
for a group of zebras jumble flutter
dazzle or quiver
i love trivia simply because it makes me
look like i’m really smart and know all
these things i just learned this uh
yesterday so

if you guessed that is completely fine
uh the correct answer in this case is a
dazzle is what you call a group of
zebras and don’t say that at least you
came into this session and learned
something new uh today

three
in the movie top gun which of these call

okay we’ve got some guesses here i like

wolfman and that’s fair um because i
don’t i do believe there was a wolfman

name for creek and is derived from a

again another thing that i learned
while putting this together for you all
so again uh i’m learning new things as
well as you uh today the correct answer

um i’ll move on to question five

what we do normally in a trivial round
so if we have say 10 questions hey look

we do is we just generally have an idea
of where everybody stands uh throughout
the game so i will bring that up with
you and congratulations laura laura is
leading the way with 159 points chris is
in second place with 154

uh so uh you know what it’s a tight race
uh for the top three there uh we’ll do a
couple more um because obviously i do
want to respect all your time uh and
we’ll see how we do at the end of this

okay i have seen pluto nash it is truly
