Bright Futures Energy Camp
Engaging Indigenous Youth in a hands-on environment to nurture their passion for science, technology, engineering & mathematics (STEM).
Bright Futures is a science camp for Indigenous youth ages 10-13.
Designed to inspire interest and promote careers in the electricity sector by engaging young people in hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) learning activities and continuing to evolve based on lessons learned since 2010.
Bright Futures is delivered by our partner Elephant Thoughts, a national charity dedicated to promoting the availability of quality education for children throughout the world. The camp is fully subsidized and delivered at no cost to the participants of the host community.
For 2024, EHRC is delivering camps in:
- Fort William First Nation, Ontario
- Black River First Nation, Manitoba
- Village of Pinehouse, Saskatchewan
- East Prairie Metis Settlement, Alberta
- West Moberly First Nation, British C0lumbia
- Liard First Nation, Yukon
- Liidlii Kue, Northwest Territories
- Baker Lake, Nunavut
