From Intent to Action: Implementing Inclusive Workplace Policies

June 10 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

About this webinar

Many organizations are committed to building inclusive, equitable and accessible workplaces—and some already have policies in place—yet still face challenges translating those policies into consistent, effective practice. Whether policies are newly drafted, due for refresh or struggling to gain traction across teams, employers often ask the same questions: Are we focusing on the right policies? What does “good” look like at our stage? And how do we ensure policies are embedded into everyday practice, not just approved?

In this practical, implementation-focused webinar, EHRC will guide you through the Turnkey Policies for Inclusive, Equitable and Accessible Workplaces—a comprehensive toolkit of ready-to-implement workplace policies and sample policy language that organizations can adopt and adapt to their own context. Participants will learn how the toolkit is structured, how to navigate it efficiently and how to identify policies that align with their organizations current maturity.

Led by Muhammad Ahsan, DEI Specialist at EHRC, this session focuses on making policies usable and sustainable, not just compliant. Drawing on real employer challenges, the webinar will explore how to adapt ready-to-use policy language, plan for rollout, communicate expectations clearly and keep policies meaningful through tracking, review and continuous improvement.

This session is designed for employers who want practical guidance, clear next steps and policies that support safer, more inclusive and more accessible workplaces, whether they are getting started or building on existing work.

Why attend?

After this session, you will be better equipped to:

  • • Confidently select and adapt inclusive, equitable and accessible workplace policies that reflect your organization’s current reality—without having to draft from scratch

  • • Avoid common implementation challenges, such as policies stalling after approval or being applied inconsistently across teams

About the Turnkey Policies

The Turnkey Policies for Inclusive, Equitable and Accessible Workplaces is an action‑oriented resource developed by EHRC to help employers embed inclusion, equity, accessibility and reconciliation into everyday workplace policies and practices.

The toolkit offers ready‑to‑implement policy frameworks and sample statements, supported by real‑world examples, allowing organizations to adapt content to their size, structure and operational context. Policies are organized across four maturity levels—Emerging, Developing, Advanced and Exemplary—enabling organizations to start where they are and progress over time.
