hi my name is nidal dapchi I’m the

director of safety for SAS power

my job is quite interesting me and a

team of 39 people we work for SAS power

to ensure we have the right safety

procedures and great safety standards it

has a huge Pride when you see a job as

complex as working with electrical

system where you spend a lot of time

engaging the public when there’s a storm

there’s power lines down and when that

happens people get curious and sometimes

they come close to them they’re

wondering why they’re there so we make

sure we educate the public to make sure

they keep away from those power lines

and they’re not in contact with them we

want our staff and the public going home

safely every day

working in utilities is a great place to

be get yourself an education first of

all the open-minded opportunities and

you might find something that you like

more than what you’re doing yourself or

you might be affirming what you do is

what you want to do either one is good
