my name is Ken noskey I’m the supervisor

for the wind control center here in

Pincher Creek Alberta from our control

room we monitor about 18 sites around a

thousand turbines and close to 2 000

megawatts of production

some of the first turbines that came out

they produced 660 kilowatts which seemed

like a huge amount of power now those

are tiny in comparison

I love the fact that we see new

technology coming in we get to learn it

we get to play with it essentially we

have a battery storage from Tesla that’s

something that’s really new we don’t do

the same thing every day

I am proud of what I do it’s not just a

spinning wind turbine there’s so much

more that will get developed and it’s

going to be really exciting to see where

renewable energy goes so if you’re

somebody that’s into technology and

you’re wanting to learn and grow there’s

always something new that goes on
