my name is Jess pudister I’m the

strategy and engagement manager with

sauteed Corporation

nnc is first 100 Inuit owned renewable

energy developer our mission is to lead

the clean energy transition in the

Kecoughtan region in Nunavut

the renewable energy sector is something

that’s very Dynamic and it’s growing

very quickly and the old systems that

were in place in places like Nunavut

where isolated communities are dependent

on diesel they’re very different from

the systems that we’re trying to

introduce to government and to the

utility and to communities

we’re aiming to build wind turbines and

solar arrays and pump storage and hydro

facilities any kind of potential

technology that can harness renewable

energy we’re in the business of making

that happen

building renewable energy systems and

displacing Diesel which is essentially

removing carbon from the atmosphere

that’s what has to happen to slow down

and hopefully halt climate change so

that’s why I’m doing what I’m doing

thank you

Focused on engaging all Canadians, and in particular young Canadians, EHRC’s Greening a Generation project will highlight electricity’s importance in our energy sector in addition to providing a guideline as to how the electricity industry will be available to young Canadians as a vehicle to address key issues as well as we provide career opportunities in the electricity and renewable energy sector for years to come.
