I’m Don Salat and I’m an EMS data
analyst with the ISO
we monitor maintain troubleshoot in the
electrical grid and there’s a lot of
troubleshooting we have to do that gets
me excited because it’s Dynamic I can
troubleshoot I can figure things out I’m
a Problem Solver by nature and that
really makes my job exciting well with
the stability we’re always going to need
electricity we’re always going to have
to find new ways to make sure that we
have a reliable power and keep the
lights off so some of the things that
I’ve been able to do with my job is to
travel around the world and what’s great
about that is you get to see what
different organizations within the
electrical industry are doing just
because of the skills the relationships
and the information that I know about
our industry there’s opportunities if I
wanted to move into something completely
different within the organization
if you’re the type of person that wants
a dynamic job wants to be able to work
flexible hours and have a lot of
challenges and are critical thinker I
think this would be the right job for
you
