I am Dawn Neto and masic I am the

director of cyber security and

Enterprise architecture at Manitoba

Hydro

my job is to make sure that all of the

thousands of Manitoba Hydro assets

computers and information is safe from

the outside world and putting the right

tool in place at the right time to meet

our business needs

being the director is really great

because I get to lead a team what we’re

doing every day is solving problems and

what’s really neat about engineering and

the area I work in is these are problems

that have not been solved before we are

actually inventing things as we go based

on the problems that we get put forward

to us in University I took Computer

Engineering which is how does everything

fit together how do all these pieces

line up how do the computers how do the

servers how does all of that

infrastructure work together so that we

have all of those systems running 24

hours a day seven days a week 365 days a

year so if you have imagination and you

like to build things or you like to

solve problems this is a field for you

thank you
