hi my name is Chuck Taylor and I’m an
ocean technologist here at Force I also
known as the fun the ocean Research
Center for Energy
so here at Forest we’re doing research
for our turbine developers to determine
the physical characteristics of our test
site here not only do we want to know a
tie in terms of tied speed temperature
that’s high tight that sort of thing but
we want to know ahead of time for the
turbines come what the species in the
bay are doing well that one turbine
developers come in we can see if there’s
been any environmental impact but if you
look at different provinces across
Canada we have some of the highest
fossil fuel use in in the country so we
have this resource here it’s on tap can
provide a lot of electricity for Nova
Scotia renewable creating electricity so
if you want to be part of the solution
there I think getting into the renewable
industry is definitely something that
you want to look into that’s kind of the
Forefront of where we’re going in
society trying to get off fossil fuels
so it’s growing industry it’s the very
early stages so if you’re into
Innovation and new technology that means
the industry to be in right now you know
on a high level I feel like we’re doing
something that’s beneficial for Aid the
environment and be our Province here so
those two things are very important to
me and I find those things highly
motivating
