Anti-Racism and Building Inclusive Workplaces Toolkit
Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) Science and Technology Internship Program (STIP) – Green Jobs is launching this new toolkit for employers.
About the Toolkit
We are excited to share that Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) Science and Technology Internship Program (STIP) – Green Jobs is launching an Anti-Racism and Building Inclusive Workplaces Toolkit for employers!
In response to youth recommendations, the toolkit was developed for employers to learn about bias and racism in the workplace. The toolkit’s unique combination of anti-racism and reconciliation content provides employers with an opportunity to learn about the past and improve workplace culture and safety.
The toolkit includes an asynchronous online course, a workbook, a resource package, and an action list to support learners. It will take approximately 3-4 hours and can be completed in stages. The content was developed externally by experts in equity, diversity and inclusion (Future Ancestors Services) and is offered to employers participating in the STIP-Green Jobs program, at no cost.
The course will be available to access until Sept. 25, 2024, and we invite you to register soon.
NRCan is offering this toolkit to empower senior leaders and management to lead a diverse and inter-generational workforce and attract and retain talent by building competency and confidence in this work.
Note: This course is not intended for interns funded through STIP-Green Jobs.
