my name is Lance battle I’m an
electrical technologist for Atco
government regulations have changed so
that we’re reducing our carbon footprint
with the reduction of our carbon
footprint to supplement right now what
we’re looking at is EB charging Vehicles
what atco’s trying to do is help build
that infrastructure in Alberta so that
we can extend to all our customers
so we get to do a little bit of
electrical work
telecommunication work and electronic
work all mixed in together we could be
working with our computer to see how
communication is going or we could be
working with our hands taking the
station apart
we service border to border so we get to
travel Highway one from Saskatchewan to
the mountains and it’s a pretty
beautiful place to be
the most important thing we’re looking
for out of anybody that’s coming out of
school is somebody that’s willing to
learn because the market changes all the
time the technology changes all the time
and you need to be able to adjust with
that as well having somebody that’s open
and understands that they’re not going
to have the answers all the time but
knows where to find is the most
important thing
