my name is Tanner Ross and I’m a

hydroelectric facility operator

my job is to ensure this plant operates

and provides power for British Columbia

a lot of our time is spent doing

maintenance in the winter time and

operating in the summertime

I love living in the mountains being

outside it’s really nice that my job

incorporates that that’s why I love this

job

the electrician trade is incredibly

broad trade you have everyone from an

electrician installing a switch in a

house to this facility where we’re

actually generating the electricity that

you’ll use in your house

as long as you’re willing to learn and

change there’s always the opportunity
