Ottawa, ON, December 21, 2021 – Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC) announced Thierry Miras as the winner of its annual Leader of the Year Award. An enthusiastic leader, Thierry is known for his strategic and innovative mindset. He has been able to align both people and business strategies to make a meaningful difference to Schneider Electric and foster an unparalleled employee experience.
Thierry has been with Schneider Electric for over 16 years, holding leadership positions in various human resources environments. In June of 2021, he was promoted to Global Vice-President of Human Resources for Schneider Electric’s Global Sustainability Business Division. “Thierry has been instrumental in shaping the culture within Schneider Electric, with a strong focus on creating the best employee experience. He is not only passionate about attracting and developing the best talent now, but is committed to ensuring we are creating the right culture and talent programs as we prepare for the workforce of the future. I am happy to see his contributions recognized and look forward to seeing his impact as he takes on the role of shaping the people strategy for our sustainability business moving forward,” said Olivier Blum, Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer, with Schneider Electric.
EHRC’s annual Awards of Excellence gala celebrates leadership and best practices in human resources in the electricity industry. “The recipient of the Leader of the Year Award is an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to their organisation within the Canadian electricity industry through visionary people management strategies and leadership,” said Michelle Branigan, CEO, Electricity Human Resources Canada. “It gives me immense pleasure to recognize Thierry as Leader of the Year. The award will be formally presented to Thierry at the annual Awards of Excellence ceremony to be held in Toronto on February 17, 2022.
