La mission de Haida Gwaii est de réduire l’utilisation du diesel et de lutter contre le changement climatique dans les communautés éloignées. Son projet solaire révolutionnaire de deux mégawatts – l’un des plus importants en Colombie-Britannique – est réalisé en collaboration avec la communauté, en vue de réduire les effets sur l’environnement, de former la main-d’œuvre locale, tout en favorisant la souveraineté énergétique et les retombées économiques.

Focused on engaging all Canadians, and in particular young Canadians, EHRC’s Greening a Generation project will highlight electricity’s importance in our energy sector in addition to providing a guideline as to how the electricity industry will be available to young Canadians as a vehicle to address key issues as well as we provide career opportunities in the electricity and renewable energy sector for years to come.
