Aujourd\u2019hui, RHIEC a annonc\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9volution de l\u2019Accord de leadership sur la diversit\u00e9 des genres, en vue d\u2019\u00eatre plus inclusif de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 dans laquelle nous vivons, et de tenir compte des besoins uniques auxquels font face les groupes sous-repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s au Canada qui souhaitent acc\u00e9der au march\u00e9 du travail et en faire partie int\u00e9grante. \u00c0 compter de maintenant, ce programme prend de l\u2019expansion pour devenir l\u2019Accord de leadership sur la diversit\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 et l\u2019inclusion.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Accord de leadership sur la diversit\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 et l\u2019inclusion conserve la structure de l\u2019Accord pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent, mais il comprend d\u00e9sormais des strat\u00e9gies visant \u00e0 soutenir un plus vaste \u00e9ventail de groupes sous-repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s dans le secteur canadien de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, notamment les Autochtones, les personnes racialis\u00e9es, les personnes atteintes d\u2019un handicap, la communaut\u00e9 LGBQ+, les personnes de diverses identit\u00e9s de genre et les nouveaux arrivants au Canada. L\u2019Accord est un engagement public que les plus hauts dirigeants de l\u2019organisation ont pris afin de mettre en place des mesures concr\u00e8tes pour favoriser une culture d\u2019inclusivit\u00e9 en milieu de travail. Signer l\u2019Accord signifie que les efforts seront d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s pour \u00e9liminer les obstacles auxquels les employ\u00e9s issus de la diversit\u00e9 sont confront\u00e9s au moment d\u2019acc\u00e9der au march\u00e9 du travail, de l\u2019\u00e9tape du recrutement jusqu\u2019au maintien en poste. De plus, il engage les organisations \u00e0 examiner leurs changements tous les deux ans.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Accord de leadership sur la diversit\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 et l\u2019inclusion r\u00e9pond en partie aux r\u00e9cents mouvements sociaux r\u00e9clamant une plus grande justice sociale et des m\u00e9canismes favorisant l\u2019inclusion dans l\u2019ensemble de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 canadienne. Ces mouvements confirment la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir aux processus et aux pratiques qui excluent et d\u00e9savantagent les groupes sous-repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s. La pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19 a exacerb\u00e9 les disparit\u00e9s pour de nombreuses communaut\u00e9s, lesquelles avaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u2019importants obstacles \u00e0 surmonter. L\u2019Accord aide les entreprises \u00e0 \u00e9valuer les changements qu\u2019elles sont capables d\u2019apporter d\u00e8s maintenant pour devenir plus inclusives.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0La d\u00e9cision d\u2019\u00e9largir la port\u00e9e de l\u2019Accord permet aux employeurs de tous les horizons d\u2019utiliser des techniques et des strat\u00e9gies \u00e9prouv\u00e9es, et de les appliquer \u00e0 leurs propres difficult\u00e9s li\u00e9es \u00e0 la diversit\u00e9. L\u2019Accord de leadership peut r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 leurs besoins et \u00eatre d\u2019une grande utilit\u00e9 au moment d\u2019op\u00e9rer des changements concrets\u00a0\u00bb, a indiqu\u00e9 Michelle Branigan, directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale chez RHIEC. \u00ab\u00a0L\u2019Accord a suscit\u00e9 un engouement marqu\u00e9 dans sa version originale, et nous avons h\u00e2te de poursuivre sur cette lanc\u00e9e afin d\u2019enrichir la compr\u00e9hension de la diversit\u00e9, et ce, dans toutes les facettes du secteur de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0L\u2019int\u00e9gration des femmes dans le secteur \u00e9lectrique, en particulier dans les professions \u00e0 pr\u00e9dominance masculine, s\u2019est av\u00e9r\u00e9e un d\u00e9fi de taille pour nos employeurs et nos membres\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 John Ives du Syndicat des travailleurs et travailleuses du secteur \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique. \u00ab\u00a0L\u2019Accord de leadership sur la diversit\u00e9 des genres a transform\u00e9 la culture organisationnelle et a sensibilis\u00e9 les employeurs ainsi que les travailleurs \u00e0 mettre activement \u00e0 contribution les femmes du secteur.
